Going the Extra Mile – Supporting Charities Close to Our Hearts

At our company, we’re incredibly proud of the people who make up our team. Every day they go above and beyond for our customers, and outside of work many of them are doing something just as remarkable – giving their time, energy and determination to support charities that make a real difference to people’s lives.

This year, four members of our team have each taken on their own unique fundraising challenge, demonstrating commitment, resilience and compassion in support of causes that are deeply meaningful to them.

Amy Denton – Running for Mind

Amy has laced up her running shoes to raise money for Mind, a charity dedicated to ensuring that no one has to face a mental health problem alone. Through her training and fundraising efforts, Amy is helping to raise awareness of the importance of mental wellbeing while supporting the vital services that Mind provides to thousands of people every year.

Every mile she runs is another step towards breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and ensuring that support is available for those who need it most.

Scott Davies – 3,000 Press-ups in One Month

Scott set himself an incredible physical challenge—completing 3,000 press-ups in just one month—in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.

This challenge requires dedication, consistency and determination, with Scott averaging around 100 press-ups every single day. His efforts will help support young people aged 13–24 who are facing cancer, ensuring they receive specialist care and support during one of the most difficult times in their lives.

It’s a fantastic example of how a simple daily commitment can have a huge impact.

Chris Nicholas – Stepping into the Boxing Ring

Chris is swapping the comfort of his drivers seat for the boxing ring as he faced a charity boxing event in support of Cancer Research UK.

Months of intensive training culminated in fight night, where Chris put both his physical and mental strength to the test. Every punch thrown represents another step towards funding life-saving research that continues to improve cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

Taking on such a demanding challenge is no small feat, and we couldn’t be prouder of his commitment.

Rebecca Edwards – AJ Bell Great Manchester Run 10K

Rebecca took on the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run 10K to raise money for the MND Association.

Motor Neurone Disease affects thousands of people across the UK, and the MND Association provides vital support to those living with the disease while funding research into improved treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

Training for a 10K requires months of preparation, discipline and determination, and Rebecca is embracing the challenge knowing that every donation will help make a difference to individuals and families affected by MND. The AJ Bell Great Manchester Run is one of the UK’s biggest running events, bringing together thousands of participants to raise millions of pounds for charitable causes each year.

One Team, Four Incredible Challenges

Although each challenge is very different, they all have one thing in common—a desire to make a positive difference.

Whether it’s running, boxing or completing thousands of press-ups, Amy, Scott, Chris and Rebecca are giving their time and pushing themselves beyond their comfort zones to support charities that provide hope, care and life-changing support to countless people.

We couldn’t be prouder of what they’re achieving, and we hope you’ll join us in supporting them along the way. Every donation, no matter the size, helps these incredible charities continue their vital work.

Between them, Amy, Scott, Chris and Rebecca have raised over £2’500.00 for their chosen charities.

Good luck to Amy, Scott, Chris and Rebecca—you’ve already made us proud.

Together, we’re proving that when people come together for a good cause, every step, every press-up and every punch can make a real difference.
