Rebecca Edwards – Director of Finance
As part of her role Rebecca oversees anything finance, HR, or risk assessment related.
She joined us as a full-time member of staff in 2007, as an Accounts Administrator.
Rebecca supported the team with the purchase and sales ledgers and also studied to become a qualified member of the Association of Accounting Technicians.
She is married with a teenager and loves the variety of her job, although her eighteen-year-old self would have laughed if someone had told her, that she would eventually love working with lorries.
If she was down to her last £50 Rebecca would take her family for a Chinese banquet.
Mark Owen – Director
He has worked on the same site for the last 24 years since he was just sixteen years old.
His role involves anything and everything to do with our fleet from tank testing and MOT’s to fleet maintenance and compliance.
His experience alone provides specialist knowledge in the technical requirements of chemical transportation.
His experience is bolstered by the following qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 & 3 – Heavy Vehicle Mechanical & Electrical Systems Maintenance & Repair
- Modern Apprenticeship – Heavy Vehicle Mechanical & Electrical Systems Maintenance & Repair
- Apprentice of the Year – 2001
- D.R. Trained
- Confined Space Trained
In his spare time, he likes playing football and going mountain biking. He’s also a Port Vale fan and if he was down to his last £50, he’d spend it on watching a match with his brother and catching up over a few beers.
Carla Bailey – Traffic Office Manager
She helps oversees the smooth running of everything transport related and is based in our transport office.
She has a background in transport, working on the front-desk, in administration and as a supervisor. Before that Carla worked in customer services.
Carla who lives near Nantwich, has two step-daughters and two Staffordshire Bull Terriers, called Hugo and Lucy.
In her spare time she loves cycling and walking her dogs. When she was at school Carla’s dream job was to be a childminder.
If she was down to her last £50 she would spend it on going for a steak meal with her husband.
Ian Parker – Transport Manager
The married father of two joined the company eight years ago.
He organises and plans the routes ensuring maximum efficiency and is also responsible for resolving any transport related problems.
A qualified HGV driver himself with more than 25 years driving experience, Ian says he always loved the freedom of being on the road and knew at the age of 14 that he wanted to be a lorry driver.
Ian says he’s doing his dream job and having a good family life, with a job he enjoys and a nice house and car is what life’s all about.
Amy Denton – Transport Administrator
She helps with the smooth running of our Traffic Desk located in our Transport Office.
She has a background in transport, working on the front desk and in administration. Before that Amy worked as a paint sprayer at Bentley Motors.
Amy, who lives in Sandbach, has a love for bunny rabbits! She has 2 rabbits, called Chester and Elsa.
In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym and spending time with her boyfriend.
When Amy was at school, her dream job was to be in Air Traffic Control.
If she was down to her last £50, she would spend it on accessories for her BMW.
Colin Fulton – Transport Planner
He allocates the drivers runs each day, keeping a track on them to ensure we are hitting our customers booking slots.
Colin has a background in transport, in planning and administration. Before that Colin worked at Tesco warehouse as a System Coordinator.
Colin who lives in Sandbach, is engaged to his fiancée – soon to be married!
In his spare time, he enjoys walking, listening to music, watching football, and drinking beer.
When Colin was at school, his dream job was to be a footballer.
If he was down to his last £50, he would spend it on his children.
