Going the Extra Mile – Supporting Charities Close to Our Hearts

At our company, we’re incredibly proud of the people who make up our team. Every day they go above and beyond for our customers, and outside of work many of them are doing something just as remarkable – giving their time, energy and determination to support charities that make a real difference to people’s lives.

Marathon Victory for Amy Denton

You must have heard the cheers far and wide when our very own Amy Denton completed her first half marathon, (that’s 13 miles you know!) at Oulton Park on Sunday 24th November.

Ocean Empowered

Over the years, James Lynch Transport has donated to a variety of different charities.  None more important than the mental health and wellbeing campaign, Ocean Empowered. This much needed campaign will help raise awareness of mental health challenges and how we can be empowered to overcome them.

New Units

Our red, white and blue livery has been the company colours for many decades and what a striking figure we do make on the road of Britain, Ireland and Europe. We are always very proud to welcome new equipment to our ever-expanding fleet and these two new Volvo units are no exception.

My role is to track all drivers, ensuring they are where they are meant to be or at least making good time on their way. I liaise with customers for any foreseen issues and talk with our garage staff to account for any trucks or tanks that need to come off the road.

I then plan the drivers work for the following day ensuring customers booking slots are achieved.

What’s the favourite part of your job?

My favourite part is dealing with the different characters you come across, both with drivers and customers new and old.

Have you got any hopes for the future?

I would like to one day become the Transport Manager.

I look forward to retirement, I hope to retire comfortably.

If you won £10,000, what would you spend it on?

I would spend the money on a holiday to Australia.
