Grouped Risk Assessments by Activity 3.1 Vehicle Operations - Coupling/uncoupling risks mitigated by training and SSOW. - Entering/exiting vehicles managed through step inspections and proper technique. - Driver fatigue addressed through shift schedules and rest breaks. - Road testing procedures include designated routes, check-ins, and license verification. - Vehicle use and client driving include maintenance checks, PPE, and emergency protocols. - Climbing on/off tanks addressed by training, access checks, and fall prevention systems. 3.2 Fuel & Chemical Handling - Fueling, AdBlue, and hazardous chemicals managed with COSHH, PPE, and emergency procedures. - Loading operations include pressure checks, secure connections, training, and face-fit RPE use. - Pressure washer use includes RCD protection, safe handling training, and COSHH compliance. 3.3 Site & Facilities - Office fire procedures involve regular drills, fire marshals, and tested alarms. - Unauthorised access is restricted with perimeter fencing, CCTV, alarms, and sign-in processes. - Hygiene risks like dermatitis addressed by PPE, laundering protocols, and safe practice. - Legionella risk controlled with temperature management, system flushing, and disinfection routines. - Slips, trips, and falls minimised by housekeeping and surface condition checks. 3.4 Health & Wellbeing - PPE misuse risks reduced with provision, training, maintenance, and replacement systems. - Stress is managed through support, training, workload balancing, and welfare awareness. - Exposure to fumes from exhausts or welding controlled with ventilation and LEV systems. - Covid-19 procedures enforced with isolation, hygiene, PPE, cleaning, and social distancing.
