Brand new facilities unveiled for Lynch Drivers

Our drivers are now benefitting from brand new facilities – thanks to a new room specifically for them.

We’ve invested thousands on improving drivers’ amenities, so they have their own dedicated space to relax, eat or shower.

The previous area been extended and now benefits from brand new kitchen facilities as well as a shower and toilet block.

Director of Finance Rebecca Edwards said: “We wanted our drivers to have a nice, relaxing, clean space to use when they come back to base. Before it was looking tired and needed an overhaul.

“We’ve freed up more space, boxed in the electric metres, put in non-slip hardwearing flooring as well as a new kitchen, breakfast bar and showering facilities.

“The whole area has been given a lick of paint in a hardwearing eggshell with the doors and architrave in a contemporary graphite grey colour and we’ve even accessorised so that it’s lovely to look at.

She added: “It means when they come back to base, between jobs or to fill up with fuel, they’ve got somewhere comfortable to relax, eat or get cleaned up. Our driver’s welfare is really important to us, and we hope that these new facilities will help our drivers have a better environment.”

One of drivers Nick Wade said: “The driver room is an excellent addition to the company facilities. As professional drivers who work away from home, the new modern shower, canteen facility and toilets are welcome and much needed while back in the yard.”
